- This premium grade Chinese tea is produced in the Anxi region of Fujian Province in southeastern China. The area is renowned for its unique climate and soil, as well as its long history of tea production. Tie Guan Yin Oolong Roasted tea is plucked from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis tea plant using traditional methods. The leaves are then withered, oxidized, and roasted to bring out the flavor and aroma that are characteristic of this tea.
- The flavor of Tie Guan Yin Oolong Roasted tea is complex, with notes of roasted chestnuts, dried apricot, and honey. This tea has a smooth and creamy texture, with a slightly sweet aftertaste. The steeped tea has a deep brown color, and the brewing time is usually between 3-5 minutes.
- In general, you’ll want to use about 2 teaspoons of tea per 8 oz. (236 ml) of water. The water temperature should be between 90 and 95ºC (194-205ºF) and the steeping time should range from 2 to 3 minutes.
